Aaron Garnett
Golf has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
From the age of one, when I was given my first set of clubs, I was inseparable from the game. As I grew older, golf became everything — hitting balls before school, after school, and well into the fading light. Weekends were spent on the local course with my father, rarely missing a beat.
My parents were incredibly supportive, always looking for ways to help develop my game. By thirteen, I was attending golf school at Gulf Harbour, around the same time my parents built the range in Warkworth. I practiced relentlessly and competed even more, playing Harbour representative golf, pennants, Charles Tour events, and tournaments across New Zealand.
At sixteen, I moved to Saint Kentigern College to further develop my golf, and that same year recorded my first tournament win and set a course record at my home course in Warkworth. Shortly after turning seventeen, I encountered a back injury — initially thought to be minor, but later revealed to be more serious. This ultimately brought my competitive playing career to an end at eighteen.
I moved to Queenstown and found myself on a very different path than I had once imagined. While professional golf was no longer the destination, my connection to the game never faded. I spent years working in the trade industry, still playing pennants and the occasional club day, but always feeling like something was missing.
What I realised was simple — I wanted to help others play better golf.
That passion has brought me here today.
I’m deeply committed to the game as a whole, with a strong focus on swing mechanics, short game, body development, and recovery.
Taking this leap feels like doing exactly what I was always meant to do: Helping you enjoy, understand, and improve your golf.
